Introduction
Goal
Streamlining private education through personalized, efficient, and adaptive digital solutions that automate manual tasks and improve student learning experiences.
Overview
Möbius is an edtech company developing a B2B SaaS web app designed to expand global educational access and reduce societal inequalities. Focused initially on SAT preparation, the platform serves as a digital study lounge that connects students with resources and personalized support. Its mission is to revolutionize private education through efficient, adaptive digital learning solutions that automate manual tasks and enhance the overall learning experience.
Context
Target Users
Students preparing for the SAT, private tutors delivering personalized instruction, and parents seeking tools to track and support student progress.
Key Stakeholders
Tutors, students, parents, educational organizations, and investors who use, benefit from, or support the Möbius Teach platform.
My Role
As a user researcher, I reviewed the entire product scope to understand how each feature connected within the platform, conducting a competitive analysis to identify best practices across existing educational tools. My deep-dive research focused on scheduling, time management, and assessment features. As a UI/UX designer, I designed and refined these three features from low- to high-fidelity prototypes, ensuring they aligned with the broader design system and integrated seamlessly into the overall platform experience.
Problem
Private academies face several key challenges:
Challenge
Creating a platform that balances personalization, ease of use, and scalability while streamlining scheduling, time management, and progress tracking.
Research
Competitive Analysis
For my focused features, scheduling, time management, and assessment, I examined how leading platforms structure their booking flows, organize task timelines, and present progress data. Insights from this analysis guided decisions around simplifying navigation, improving visual clarity, and integrating automation to reduce manual work for both students and educators.

User Pain Points
Based on the competitive analysis, recurring pain points emerged within scheduling, time management, and assessment features:
Scheduling tools lack group coordination features, such as tags or collaborative planning.
Time management is hindered by cluttered or outdated interfaces that make navigation slow.
Assessment platforms often have limited customization for test formats, timing, and question types.
Limited flexibility in organizing or sequencing tasks and assignments for different user needs.
These pain points led to the central design question:
How might we...
revolutionize private education by creating a comprehensive, digital platform that empowers students, streamlines operations, and fosters personalized learning experiences?
Design
Low-fidelity Prototype
Scheduling & Time Management: I translated initial ideas into wireframes, starting with the student-facing calendar to visualize how scheduling and deadlines could be presented clearly. Student can access each task and class directly from their calendar.

Testing Assessment: I designed wireframes showing how students could track their scores, review completed assessments, and identify areas for improvement in a clear, organized layout.

Design System Research
We began with branding research, examining the visual identity, tone, messaging, brand positioning, and target audience of established education platforms such as Duolingo and Quizlet.
Branding research for existing educational platforms
Logo Brainstorm
We created 15 variations of the Möbius logo, guided by key brand attributes we wanted to convey: user-friendly, credible, practical, clean, fresh, and academic. These concepts aimed to reflect the platform's approachable yet professional identity while aligning with its mission.
